Downtown Ellicott City | Savannah & Joe | April 14, 2017

I met this jem when I was in college. My Christian sorority set out to look for new sisters, and that is when I met Savannah . When I picked her up to come to the information night, Savannah showed up barefoot (this became a theme in our relationship together). The slogan for her soon became, “let’s get barefoot and weird with Jesus”.  She soon became my little, and we began building a friendship, and sisterhood that could never be broken. We would spend countless nights barefoot, eating pizza, and practicing sign language together ( we are weird, okay?).

When I found out that Savannah was engaged, I was so over the moon for her. It seemed like yesterday we were talking about my wedding, and how she would wear a pink bridesmaid dress just for me, and me only (she clearly is not a pink girl guys).

I told Savannah that I would be so honored to be able to tell her story through my lens, and shortly after we were taking pictures in the park she loved. Of course, my favorite girl showed up in a t-shirt and jeans, wearing no shoes, but I wouldn’t have imagined her in her pictures any other way. We had such a gorgeous day, and I felt so overwhelmed with emotion seeing my little with a man that loved her so deeply and fondly.

Savannah, you are such an important part of my life, and I pray that the Lord brings Joe and you happiness, and never ending love in your marriage. Where ever the military may take you both, I pray that you can always find your way back home, and remember, as your big, I’ll always be your number 1 fan.
