Concord Point Lighthouse | Carly & Myles | August 10th, 2019

I was introduced to Carly through a mutual friend, and her and Myles’ engagement session was the first time that I got to meet her in person. First of all, CUTEST couple ever. Carly showed up looking like a total babe after her makeup trial! It honestly felt like I have known them for more than just a couple minutes! Carly and Myles chose the Concord Point Lighthouse in Havre de Grace, Maryland for their pictures, and it just so happened to fall on national lighthouse day LOL. The entire week prior was hot and humid, and I was fearful for how the weather would turn out for their session. When I wok up that morning, I thanked the Lord for the low humidity, and just such a beautiful day overall.

We started out at the lighthouse, and then made out way over to the (somewhat sketchy and questionable) pier. Carly and Myles were such troopers when I asked them to sit on the wobbly pier- love you guys!!! They told me all about their love story, and how they fell in love.

The two of them had been cadets in the police academy, and Carly says that Myles was the “top dog” of the cadets. After being friends for a while, and going out on friend dates, these two beautiful souls made it official. It was so heart warming to see these two giggle, recalling their first kiss. When it came time to take it a step further, Myles held onto the ring for three days and was so nervous to propose to her.

We finished out the night with some ice cream (because why not?). Carly and Myles’ close co-worker (a.k.a Carly’s sister) joined us for evening, and her two boys were the SWEETEST little boys around. I mean seriously, just so precious. And I actually learned from them that dogs sweat from their paw pads!!! Who knew?!?

Thank you Carly and Myles for letting me stalk you guys for a night, and for allowing be to be a small part of your love story. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this coming October. Enjoy a small re-cap of our night!
